31 for 21: Piling up

big pile of laundryThis is a sign of the times. This is a premonition of things to come. This is a statement about priorities. This is the pile of laundry that grew on the family room floor.

We stepped over it, and sometimes, right on it. The kids threw clothes around, and we let them.

We tried to ignore the pile. It just got bigger.

I think the T-shirts may have been procreating.

Eventually, I folded and put all the clothes away. But of course, there’s always more.

It’s a parenting puzzle how two small people can go through so many clothes in a given day.

I am proud I let it go as long as I could.

In honor of Down syndrome awareness month, I am trying to post to this blog every day for 31 days (or at least 31 times in October) to increase awareness of Trisomy 21, the genetic condition that causes the syndrome.
